Every man dies, not every man really lives

Have you ever really thought if this is the life you were dreaming of years ago?I remember myself craving the time I would be old,in order to stay out late,be independent and stuff..As the time goes by,I realise how mistaken I was.Because, apart from the fact that a scraped kid's knee is easier to fix than a broken teenager's heart, most children live FREE or at least their restrictions are very obvious and minor. As one ordinary teenager,I see today's society like a big wall which has been built around us,not allowing us to escape from it.We are all following an orbit, the center of which is the world's biggest but necessary evil, money. Most of my class mates have already decided the job they will do in the future.Among more than 200 teenage students,I'm surprised to find out that there are less than 10 job choices. Most of them, for example will probably choose economics, because they will find a job immediately. But I bet that hardly anyone of them likes economics! The society is forcing them to follow this job, because it will earn them some fuckin' money.. But they haven't understood that by picking a job they don't like, they automatically lose a significant part of their freedom. They will be forced to work for like eight hours a day in an office, with no break, doing a job they will hate as the time will go by.. And here comes the big question: Will these people pass out peacefully and thinking they've achieved all the goals they'd set when they were teenagers? The whole society's aim is being a good student, following the rules without asking or arguing, without loving, then find a job that will earn you some money, then get married to a person you probably don't really love, have children and watch them destroy themselves just like YOU did!But that's not right, fellow readers. The right thing is hidden here, among us free people.Among the guys in the streets, among the not so rich teens, among the teenagers who still live just to sustain the flame of their dream alive! They might get criticised, they might be called idiots, but at least they are proud of themselves! Recently,a friend of mine which I really used to admire for his revolutionary idelogy passed out, when his motorcycle collided with an old building on the highway.I bet that this guy died, but had no leftover things to do.He had achieved all of his goals,he lived the life of a free fuckin' man, and then he died peacefully,in a way. (I don't really think he had the time to realise what happened) .What about us,guys? Are we going to pass out, with leftover aims in our lives?Or you think that by going to these awful nightclubs each Saturday and start working again from the beginning,it renders us free? No way, guys. So here comes William Wallace's statement: Every man dies, not every man really lives. If we live our lives as we want them,we won't be afraid of anything. We will know that we lived and died as free men.

That's all from me for tonight,
Yours,
Lampard.
